Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or engaging our design-build services.

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This page provides the general terms governing website use and our services. It is not legal advice and does not replace your signed construction contract. We recommend reviewing your Construction Agreement for project-specific terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ADUbuilders website, tools, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing this website, requesting an estimate, or engaging ADUbuilders for construction services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Services. We may update these Terms from time to time, and continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Estimates, Quotes & Pricing

All cost estimates, calculator results, floor-plan pricing, and preliminary quotes provided through this website or during initial consultations are for general informational purposes only. They are non-binding approximations and do not constitute a formal offer or contract.

Final pricing is determined only after a site assessment, design finalization, soil and structural review where applicable, and issuance of a written, signed construction agreement. Estimates may change based on site conditions, jurisdictional requirements, material availability, utility connections, and scope adjustments.

3. Construction Agreement Controls

Any construction work performed by us is governed by a separate written construction contract signed by both parties (the "Construction Agreement"). In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a signed Construction Agreement, the Construction Agreement controls with respect to the work described therein.

The Construction Agreement will set forth the project scope, payment schedule, allowances, change-order procedures, warranties, and timelines in accordance with California law, including applicable California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) requirements.

4. Licensing & Insurance

ADUbuilders is a licensed and insured contractor operating in the State of California (Licensed & Insured | CSLB #000000). You may verify our license status at any time through the California Contractors State License Board at www.cslb.ca.gov.

Nothing on this website should be interpreted as a guarantee of permit approval, which is at the sole discretion of the relevant local building and planning authorities.

5. Permits & Code Compliance

Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) regulations, zoning ordinances, setback requirements, and permitting timelines vary by jurisdiction and are subject to change. While we work to design and build in compliance with applicable codes, we do not warrant that any particular design will be approved by your local agency.

The homeowner is responsible for disclosing relevant property information, including easements, HOA restrictions, liens, and prior unpermitted work that may affect the project.

6. Project Timelines

Any timelines, including the 60-day approval references or build durations stated on this website, are estimates based on typical projects and are not guaranteed. Actual timelines depend on permit processing, weather, inspections, material lead times, financing, and change orders.

7. Warranties & Disclaimers

Workmanship warranties, if any, are expressly stated in your signed Construction Agreement. Except as required by California law or expressly provided in the Construction Agreement, the Services and this website are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Manufacturer warranties for appliances, fixtures, and materials are provided by the respective manufacturers and are passed through to the homeowner where applicable.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ADUbuilders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or its content. Our total liability relating to website use shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, to access the Services.

This limitation does not apply to liability arising under a signed Construction Agreement, which is governed by its own terms and by California law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including floor plans, renderings, text, logos, and designs — is the property of ADUbuilders or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

10. Communications & Consent

By submitting a contact form, quote request, or phone number, you consent to be contacted by us via phone, email, or text regarding your project. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

11. Third-Party Tools & Links

This website may embed or link to third-party tools (such as design configurators) and external websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Your use of those tools is subject to their own terms.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes relating to this website shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. Disputes arising under a Construction Agreement are governed by the dispute-resolution provisions in that agreement.
